Trick or Treat at Villages of Urbana

eTrick or Treat! Happy Halloween everybody. The weather was just PERFECT for trick or treaters if you're living in MD/DC/VA. Our babygirl at this age really enjoyed and understood the spirit of the day. She was dressed in a monkey costume and our boy in a little tiger outfit. Although our boy is too young to understand what was going on, we took him anyways because of the gorgeous weather. We happen to live just around the corner of our neighbors who are, every year, in great Halloween spirit. Nearly the whole block was lighted and almost everybody was outside chit chatting and enjoying the night. I must say that at least three of the homes did a good job at their decorations because my babygirl screamed and cried at the top of her lungs and refused to go near the gate to beg for treats. While I was chilling out with my little ones, TT stayed back and captured some photos of our neighborhood trick or treaters. As parents I would always want to have pictures taken of my kids on as much occasions as I could, so we set out to do something fun for our neighbors. Thanks to those who was in the spirit to have these memories taken for Villages of Urbana Halloween 2007 festivity. This was a good turn out so if we get enough of a good response then we might repeat this next year! It was really fun so enjoy the pictures here everybody!

Note that these are pictures to view online only and they are un-photoshoped. If you would like to get a photo printed, please email embrace@embracephoto.net a request with the IMG number.

**NOTE**I'm suspecting that the nice golden falls leaves will stay around for another week or so. If you've been waiting for this time of the year to have some fun photos taken for engagement, high school senior or family fun, then email us asap so we can set out to do something right away before the leaves get blown away.

Here's our little ones enjoying the night!

Painting the family portrait

Quick 15 minutes photo sessions are fun. Not that we don't want to stretch it longer, but because our little boy can act wild in front of the camera and you can tell he totally wasn't in the mood. So, we had to shoot quickly and just see how it turned out. We happened to be in the neighborhood of Glamour Photo and we just stopped by and had some fun. Here are just some photos snapped away by Daniel Bui and I did their post-processing. We have to do it again sometime! Thanks Daniel for your expertise in acting quickly when it comes to cranky little kids who didn't give you an easy time!

A little something out of the ordinary

Let's stretch a little bit and do some modeling contest, what do you say? Yes, there was a local modeling contest held in Virginia last weekend and there was a lot of excitement. The contest was open to everyone and there were 4 judges all have different background: Alan, a model from NY (modeled for Saks 5th Ave., etc), a makeup artist, a hairstylist, and a rather famous fashion designer. Once the contestants are in the finals, they had to pick a drawing of a random object that they have to use it on their walk down the runway. This demonstrates their stylish creativity and confidence. They're being judged on the walk, the pose, the makeup/hair, clothing that they chose for themselves and of course the style that they present. Remember, this is a model contest, not a beauty pageant. So you don't have to be absolutely gorgeous to win. What you're seeing are actually the finalists, so let's get down to business and I'll let you be the judge!

Ok Models, Come On Out!!

Ok, so I guess you saw who was the Grand Prize winner...after the party, I heard from the person that tallied the points, that Jennifer (the lady in purple) received an exceeding number of points, very surprised how high the score was although they knew she was good. She had the style, the pose, the look, but most importantly the confidence in each of her pose, very sharp and distinct. Congratulations Jennifer!

Our babygirl is a year older!

Another year has passed and our recently newborn babygirl is turning three today. It really seems like yesterday she was still nicely fitted in our arms. But now, only 1/3 of her can actually fit in my arms. We celebrated this milestone with family and friends over the weekend, and we'd like to take this moment and express our thanks to all of them for coming. Trianna really had a blast, and you really can tell by her face expressions. This is the best year by far because we really can see her reactions and excitement and how she enjoyed every moment of it. There was no hesitation in switching princess outfits, she changed from one to the next every 10 minutes. You can't go wrong with princesses for little girls and cars for boys huh. And on top of all of that excitement, she had publicly performed her singing talent three times altogether for the cheery crowd. She sang from one song to the next, and the 1st five verses of a special song written just for her by grandpa when she was born. We are very proud! Thank you all so much!!! We love you!

Something beautiful I found

Hope you like and hope it'll keep your mind in peace from all the stress we endure each day in our lives. As you listen, pay attention to your breathing, keep it steady and be mindful of each breathe you inhale and exhale.
