I have received my package on the 10th, so it took a little over two weeks to receive this. Ok, here's the thing, this time the box came by FEDEXGround and they requested Signature! That's something I'm never thrilled about! I had to stay home and wait for this package after 2 door notes. Back in May, the package arrived safe and sound through regular USPS. So I was VERY SURPRISED when I received the FedEx door notes. I didn't know who was the sender, so I called Fedex to ask who was the package from and they said "Log On". I was like what? I didn't order anything from Log On! But whatever, I stayed home and signed off on the package and when I signed off, I asked who was the sender, and the delivery guy said "Allure". To my very surprise...

Kings Dominion welcomes Booz | Allen | Hamilton

Finally, Booz Allen Hamilton held its annual theme park family day at Paramount's Kings Dominion this year. Previous years, it had been at Six Flags America, click here for the post from last year. I don't think I can forget this day, it was ONE HOT AND HUMID day to spend outdoors! It was 92 degrees with a record high for the area of 93 degrees. So you can imagine how crazy it was. There was even a heat advisory announcement. Well it was too late, we were already there with 4 kids. The park opened at 10am, we got there at 10:30am and stayed until 5pm. Oh boy, it was one killer experience. And looking back, our family seem to be loving killer experience!
We let the kiddos tried the kiddie rides, only to have the lady stop after a minute the ride started to take out bboy!! They were fine and loving it when we sat them down, but bboy started crying when he found we weren't riding with him. So we had to apologize and asked the lady to stop the ride and we took him out. Bbgirl stuck through that ride but she was frowning the whole time and didn't even look at me when I waved at her! She was mad. Poor thing. I did give them another chance at the another ride, but no luck there either. So we gave up trying to convince them.

By 11:30, we were starving, and headed to the area where lunch was being served by BAH. After that we hit the Water Works area and totally stayed there until we left. We couldn't walk around any longer, it was too hot and steamy!

Labor Day weekend at the Baltimore Aquarium

It was the first time the kiddos get to see that much fishes. The closest place to enjoy such things is the Baltimore Aquarium. I think bbgirl was old enough to enjoy her time but bboy- what a handful, all he wanted to do was climb the escalators. I don't think he's ready for this kind of day-out until he's at least a couple of years older! Yes, so we learned our lessons.

We chose the package with the dolphin show and it was a nice way to spend our holiday weekend. I love going out of town, so we made it an out-of-town trip. On Sunday, we attended a kiddo birthday party in Baltimore, we slept over and karaoke till 2:30 am (at least), then the following Labor Day was spent at the aquarium. Luckily, our kids love being away from home once in a while too, so we rarely have any problems with them adjusting to where they sleep.

hey all...I've been missing! yes! That's because I was working on wedding albums and various other family/friends activities!

First up, a surprise birthday party for Sammie. And no one spilled the surprise! yay!
Of course the fabulous food prepared by Chef Jane, believe it or not, we almost finished up everything she had there! Again, call her, email her, facebook her to book her for your next event. No kidding, that cake she made was omg, sooo good! I thought I was just going to have half a piece, but I ended up gulping up the whole piece!

September 11, 2008

Another year, another flashback. Our hearts and prayers are once again, with the families as we're marking the 7th September 11 memorial. A few week back there was a movie on this tragedy and I dropped my nightly chores to watched it. I got swept away and could not imagine the ones being in that tragedy. The way people were coughing up the storm because they couldn't breathe the smoky air. I was once again reminded of how fortunate I was at that moment to be able to breathe such fresh air. I was just a TV viewer and already vivid memories of the movies remained in my mind. I could not imagine the feelings of those that survived and worst of all, the feeling of lost in hope as one man gave up the fight and sat at the staircase as he watched people running down pass him. We can never understand their feelings, but what you and I should start practicing now is how we can live this life with no regrets.

My rule of thumb: if there is a sender, there's a receiver.
